EOI Exchange

About EOI Exchange

Group benefits underwriting still breaks the moment a worker says yes to more coverage.

The fix is a connected workflow that runs in real time across the carrier, the platform, and the enrollment session. We do not replace anyone. We make the parts talk to each other.

Mission

Why EOI Exchange exists.

EOI Exchange is not here to replace existing systems or take on fiduciary responsibility. We are here to improve transparency, operational visibility, workflow coordination, implementation governance, and audit support across a fragmented EOI ecosystem.

Today

The carrier, the ben admin platform, the HRIS, and the enrollment vendor each hold a partial version of the truth.

  • Breaks today: An evidence-of-insurability request can sit for weeks while a worker who has already elected more coverage waits for an answer.
  • Breaks today: The worker pays for that fragmentation in coverage gaps and payroll errors.
  • Breaks today: The carrier pays for it in operational drag.

With EOIX

Our job is to connect those parts.

  • Resolved: The carrier still owns every underwriting rule.
  • Resolved: The ben admin platform still owns enrollment.
  • Resolved: EOIX runs the connected workflow in between, in real time, with one place to see what is happening.

The thesis

Three pillars, one connected workflow.

Pillar one

Real-time instant-decision digital underwriting

A worker who says yes to more coverage should get an answer in the same session, with the carrier's own rules running at digital speed against an adaptive interview, a modern underwriting engine, and the third-party data sources the decision depends on.

Pillar two

Connectivity

EOIX is built to integrate by API into the major ben admin and HRIS platforms at the points where EOI gets triggered and where the decision needs to be written back. White-label, carrier-branded launch URLs, no UI rebuild on the platform side. The reason this is its own pillar is that the fragmentation, not the underwriting, is the part the industry has been quietly losing money to.

Pillar three

Centralized workflow visibility, governance, and operational coordination

Every workflow event lands in one administrative portal: who started, who finished, who abandoned, who was approved, did the write-back land. A Director of Governance acts as EOI air traffic control for the carrier, running the validation gates before launch and the recurring governance review after. The carrier finally gets to see the workflow it has been operating in the dark.

Founders

Built by founders with 25+ years in insurtech.

EOI Exchange is led by founders with 25+ years of combined experience building insurance technology. The team has spent careers inside group benefits underwriting, enrollment platforms, and carrier integration work. That is the reason the company is starting from architecture, not from an idea.

The first wave of carrier conversations is underway with multiple Tier-1 group carriers. The architecture is in place. The company is pre-revenue and post-architecture.

Where the line is drawn

The boundary is the product. Carriers keep the underwriting decision. Ben admin platforms keep enrollment. Payroll stays where it lives. EOIX runs the connected workflow between them.
